Up with cramps and sick kids

It's midnight here, and I'm awake. Both my boys have bad coughs, although no other signs of illness (no fever, no crankiness, no drop in activity level, no drop in appetite) but they're having trouble sleeping because of all the coughing. Poor kids!

While up with them I've noticed very low very "deep" crampy-type feelings. After a while I started paying closer attention, and they're coming 7-10 minutes apart. It's hard to identify the start of each one, but at the peak it's definitely uncomfortable. I was just nursing Connor and for about 5 seconds at the peak of a cramp I was desperately wanting him OFF my boob so I could change positions, but the feeling only lasted a short time and the cramp subsided.

Oh, there's another one.

We'll see what happens...I'm going to go back to bed and put in a DVD to maybe distract me and help me go back to sleep.

It's 6am central - I hope those cramps turned into something productive! Let us know when you can!!

Well, they got as close as 4 minutes apart, never too strong, but definitely noticeable and timeable. Then around 3am they fizzled out, I fell asleep, and was woken up with a stray one here and there. I nursed Connor this morning at 7am and they started up again, but now at 8:30am I just put Connor on the bus and they've stopped again.

I'm staying home from work, going to alternate between resting and cleaning and just see what happens.

That sucks that they fizzled. I guess it wasn't the right time for him yet! Hang in there - we all have a matter of DAYS left no matter what. It can feel like we will be pregnant forever, but really we will all have babies so soon. We can hang on!

Here's hoping the cleaning brings on some action!

I sooo know the feeling. Warm up can be a let down. I hope we both pick up steam again real soon. Something good must have been happening down there. In fact, since my little episode, all my ctx have become more sensational...nothing to write the mw about, but definately different. I am sure we are making progress. And I am trying so hard to be positive that we will both have our babies real soon. I'll race you to the finish line!

I'm convinced my babe will never be born at this point. Probably too early to be thinking that, but all the build-up and then nothing really does that to a person.

Hang in there...I really hope you're ramping up to an amazing l&d tonight! :-)

No doubt you're making progress! I hope you'll come back with good news to share! My labor started Sunday in the wee hours from out of nowhere and 7 hours later I was holding my son.

Maybe you're holding your's now, too?

No, no baby holding yet for me I just got back from a trip to Sam's Club and walking around brought a lot of discomfort, but no timeable contractions. Sigh.

Hopefully tonight it'll start up again and be real this time! I have an OB appt in the morning that I don't want to go to
