I know I am just getting last minute mommy worries, so please help me out here if you can. We are leaving for Disney World in a few days and I've started thinking about my unvaxed 2yo! I have 5 kids, but he is the first one that is completely unvaxed. He is very healthy and still breastfeeds, so I mostly feel ok about this, but then I start to worry again. My 4th child is only partially vaxed...we stopped when he was 4 months. Anyway, I would love to have some encouragement from other moms who don't vax and don't worry...even when you take your kids to someplace germy (lol) like DW!! (taking his first airplane ride too!) Thanks so much!

First of all, a 2 yo is able to handle all communicable infections that come her way. She has an intact immune system which is her best ally. There is no other support that would serve her that completely and genuinely.
You have to learn to trust her health. Don't give in to some unwarranted fear. She is not some sort of time bomb because she was not injected with poisons (of all things!) Trust her! Trust Nature! Most likely she won't get sick, but if she does, so what? She'll get over it. I doubt that there are a lot of sickly and infected kids running around in DW anyway.
btw, my grandsons go everywhere and do everything imaginable including DW and flying quite often.
Enjoy your vacation. Take it easy, that keeps the whole family healthy.

I would say stay hydrated on the plane, wash hands w/soap and water whenever you can, and try to find some sort of healthy foods to eat... sometimes not that easy to do in the parks.
We went last year and the thought never occurred to me - I *was* worried about finding nutritious foods, though.
Have a great trip!
OT: They have very nice baby stations/areas in each park w/breastfeeding rooms at each. Very convenient.

We travel everywhere with dd and I never think twice about her not being vaxed. Well, I actually do think about it, and I am grateful! I think her immune system is so strong and able to handle anything. If she gets sick, I know how to properly care for an illness (no fever reducers, don't force feed, etc) and she will bounce back just fine!
Like pp, the only thing I worry about when we travel is how to find healthy food. We are going to Disney World with dd in February (she will be 26 months), and we are making a trip to the grocery store and bringing food with us to the parks.
If your dd gets sick, it's probably not a V"P"D anyway. Just go, relax, and have fun!

We have been to several theme parks with my 3 children, (2 are grown and on their own). My 4th is also partially vaxed, (stopped after the 6 mos round that about killed him) and my 5th, who is 7 now, is not vaxed at all.
I have been to Disney in Orlando twice this year without the younger ones, but never caught anything there to pass on to the little ones.
