Yep, me too, I pump while driving to and from work (in slow rush hour traffic).

And I second the pumping while nursing. If you can manage it it works best. I get 4 ounces when i pump while nursing, but only 1 or 2 if I'm lucky if I'm trying to pump before bed or something. I usually get 2oz reliably when pumping while I drive

Two quick things from another working and pumping mom – although I was able to stay home until my son was 1.
First, don't judge pumping output by what you pump after feeds. I'd barely get drops when I pumped after my son nursed – and with a hospital grade pump – in order to increase supply.
Now I'm back at work and pumping 3 oz at a sitting with a Pump in Style. So you may surprise yourself by what you can pump. Taking dom is a great idea. Dr. Jack Newman's site has a great FAQ on starting dom. The standard starting dose is three 10 mg tables, three times a day.
Second, if I were you I'd try supplementing with an at-the-breast supplementer such as a Lact-Aid. Obviously your little one will need to eat when you're apart but I'd eliminate bottles when you're together.
Good luck –*and you're doing a great job, mama!

I'm also a working / pumping mom. I pump at work 3x a day. If you're having a problem with milk letdown, here's something that might help. I bring a nightie that DD has worn to work with me, and I smell it as I'm starting to pump. Something about the baby's scent makes my milk flow very quickly. I read about this somewhere, gave it a try & it works like a charm for me!

Good luck!

Thanks ladies :)

I'm hanging in there. Still having to supplement, but DD is putting on weight now Working on icreasing supply to start weaning out supplements.

I'm still having difficulties pumping (using pictures, DD, blankies, cllothes, not watching, etc.) I still can't manage to pump while BF because LO is way too squirmy..but sometimes I am getting up to 20ml, so that's an improvement. Just received the Dom and started it today...hoping it'll make a difference.

thanks for the support and ideas

wow!

The Dom seems to be a miracle worker! DD is now mostly content after nursing and I have only had to supplement occasionally with BREASTMILK
I've also been able to pump 15-30ml about an hour after BF and 1/2 -2oz. in the morning and after work and sometimes at the last pumping before I go to bed (after DD is down for the night).

Thank you all for the help and encouragement
