Postcard from IA Dept. of Public Health

Just had to share this postcard that I received today in the mail from the Iowa Department of Public Health.

"Hello fellow Iowan,

Lots of work is being done by public health officials at the local, state and national levels to prevent people from getting both seasonal and novel influenza A (H1N1) influenza; however, YOUR ACTIONS will have the biggest impact on keeping your family, friends and other Iowans healthy.

Along with Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) Director Tom Newton and IDPH Medical Director Dr. Patricia Quinlisk, we encourage you to get the seasonal influenza vaccine and, when appropriate, be vaccinated for the H1N1 or 'new flu' virus. Most importantly, remember the three Cs: Clean your hands frequently; Cover your coughs and sneezes with a tissue or your sleeve; and, Contain germs by staying home when ill.

If you have questions, we encourage you to call the toll-free Influenza Hotline at 1-800-447-1985. Thanks for doing your part to keep all of us healthy."

Ah yeah, like they needed to spend how much money to send that postcard to all Iowans?! It's signed by the Governor and Lt. Governor. Gee, why do you suppose that is?! Maybe b/c the pharmaceutical companies GIVE them how much money??!!!

Sick!

Throw it into the garbage. It's not even worthy of a place in the recycling bin.

Big pharma stands to gain millions on this "new flu", that's why they developed it in their labs.

Yes, there was some good advice on the card too. But seriously, it's the same stuff that's plastered all over the news. On the other side of the postcard are pictures of people doing the three C's plus up in the one corner a picture of a shot.

Gitti, it went into the trash instead of the recycling bin! Hehehe!!
