waldorf doll head help

Thread Starter
I am attempting a waldorf baby doll with a kit from little joys. I have made two before but always have trouble shaping the head.
Does anyone have suggestions to make this easier. I really want this one to have nice plump cheeks. Any other suggestions would be great also. Thank you

squeeze hard when you pull that eye line around to get plump cheeks ! Consider using dental floss because it is fine and will pull very tight without breaking

Yes...dental floss is wonderful for head shaping

Are you pulling down the floss from the nose to the ear to get more defined cheeks? Does that make sense? Do you have the inverted triangle coming from the nose?

edited: I have only made Waldorf nature table dolls, so if it's different for full size heads, just ignore me

Joys Waldorf Dolls carry a superior craft string, which is almost unbreakable, but most importantly does not slip when you tie it. It really sort of grabs onto itself and helps you tie a nice tight eye line. It is best to wrap it around the head twice, and then around its' self three times. It's much easier on your hands this way; floss slips too much, for me.
Best of luck with your dolls!
