Stuff to do in the Cave Creek/Scottsdale/Phoenix area with children

We'll be staying in Cave Creek from October 3 to October 10. We're interested in finding some fun things to do in the area (willing to drive in to Phoenix) with kids aged 4 and 2. I found the Children's Museum and we'll do that at least part of one day and probably the zoo another day. Any other suggestions?

There is the AZ science center downtown as well, right across the street from the kids museum.

Mccormick Park in scottsdale has a little train ride and merry go round as well as a great play ground
