Would I know (retraction)?

How would I know if someone retracted my son's foreskin. I really don't think anyone has, but I noticed the tip of the foreskin was reddened the other day (probably him pulling on it himself), but it got me thinking - how would I know? Does it swell? Tear? What would it look like?

I have educated everyone who comes in contact with his penis to leave it alone, etc. Just wondering for my own personal info.

Well sometimes there is no way to know. It just depends on how much force they use to do it and how elastic your ds's skin is.

There is no hard and fast rule as to what you would see if it where done to him. You might see bleeding, swelling, small tears or you might see nothing at all.

And not all retractions are bad. Your son may retract himself, which is perfectly alright.

And if someone, in theory, were to retract him with no more force than he would do himself, then they would cause no more harm than he himself causes. The problem, of course, is that they have no need to do so, don't have the feedback from his body to tell them when to stop, etc. So it is more likely that they will cause problems. But that is not a certainty.

Just do the best you can to make sure only he manipulates his penis.
I would say that you do not need to be overly concerned. Even if there is bleeding and he complains of discomfort, it could be from his own manipulations, so you may never know.

He is unlikely to retract far enough to do harm, since it would be painful. More than likely, he has some natural redness from an irritant. Leave him diaper-less for a while, discontinue bubble baths. Just use warm, clear water to wash his penis.

Thanks everyone! I'm not thinking anyone is retracting him - just curious if I would know.
