My theory about the kangaroo is that it is symbolic of Australian aboriginal beliefs about time.

I don't really have much knowledge, but my understanding is that they don't believe that time has to be linear. They believe all time is happening at once, and you can access any time if you have been taught how.

I'll be interested to see if I'm right.

I wondered the same thing last week about the ultrasound. You are right about the cupcake lady -- did she live in the same time zone? I'm assuming, she did...

I forget where they are located. Oh wait, there was an ocean so probably LA. Yeah, if it was 10pm for the guy and his wife and the other guy was in a meeting across the globe at 6am, Janis (pregnant lady) would have to be somewhere else across the globe (and even that is far fetched).

yeah.. the only real explanation is if she was in a hospital on bedrest or something and went in for an emergency ultrasound.. but she didn't look panicked and it was all casual with the "its a girl!" thing.. so who knows.

Another good episode! I'm not letdown at all. They are doing a good job of giving me shivers at the last second of the episode.
"DGibbons is a bad man"...Oh my gosh, now the main character (what is his name again) has even more incentive to find out who did it, his own daughter is involved!!!

So that DGibbons woman is not who they are looking for? I think that those who did the flashforward purposefully set it up so she comes forward to FBI.

Same here! They do a really good job of getting us hooked - now I just REALLY want to know what happens next ep...and beyond!

One thing I know I do NOT want to happen - John Cho getting murdered. (don't want to spoil anything in case someone didn't watch last night so pls highlight)

Didi Gibbons said her shop was in Anaheim. It was clearly daylight in her vision. Either she saw things at a different time as everyone else or its an oops on the part of the set designer.

I've thought about the ultrasound timing too. She was getting a 3D ultrasound. They don't do those for checking to make sure everything's okay in the ER. They use a regular 2D u/s.

Wow, that's a neat plot development.

Is he going to try to prevent his own murder? I would if I were him. What would that do to your head to know the exact date of your murder? I wonder what other details that lady has about his death.

Just FYI everybody. For doing spoiler font put these [SPOILER ][/ SPOILER] around the text you don't want spoiled, minus the spaces.

Was anybody else laughing hysterically when Mark's boss was giving a detailed description of what his flash forward and blackout experiences were?

I was interested in the idea of the show so I watched. I'm still very curious to see where it goes and that footage of the guy at the baseball game gave me the chills BUT I'm really dissappointed with a lot of the acting. Sometimes I find it so bad at times that I catch myself shaking my head in annoyance. I understand that new series are often times a little rough in the first few episodes but, it was pretty bad IMO. Also, some of their sources of evidence and linking is enough to make me roll my eyes and laugh. I'm generally the last person to be picky about TV shows but, this one is sort of bugging me. Still interested to see how it moves along though. Hopefully the acting improves as it goes.

ABSOLUTELY!!!!!!!! This show is reminding me SO MUCH of Jericho, my all time favorite show. The way it sucks you in, makes you think, leaves you with more questions than answers in the beginning, leaves you wondering what you would do if you were in the character's position. It also leaves you laughing your pants off at times, exactly like the writers for Jericho did. I am loving this show and I really hope that ABC doesn't screw it up.

Subbing. And yes I laughed like crazy at the mouth to mouth toilet man scene.

I loved Jericho too! I still can't believe they canceled that show (twice!).

i read the book to other day to refresh my memory, then watched the episodes on our tivo.

i was disappointed with the departure from the original story, honestly.

Have you heard about the comic series that starts the end of this month? It will be a continuation of the story, with the same writers doing it. I've seen some of the artwork and it looks amazing. We're very hopeful that if the comic sales are off the charts it will be the push that is needed for a movie or something similar.
