2mo nursing non-stop

my son is 2 months old, and wants to nurse all day. he will wake in the morning, eat, play for a few minutes, nurse, sleep for anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour, then wakes to nurse again, and repeating this all day till evening when he does the cluster feed.

he was playing for longer periods, and was content to just "be". he also took longer naps (2-3 hours).

now any attempts to do anything other than nursing, results in tears - so i nurse again.

his night schedule has changed as well. he was sleeping 3-4 hours between nursing, and now is going 45 minutes to 1.5 hours.

his latch is good, he's not fussy on the breast, and he's definitely thriving, so i know all is well there. we co-sleep - with him on our chests. he won't sleep in his moses basket any longer.

is this normal? have others experienced this? should i just nurse, nurse, nurse, and not give this anymore thought, or is something wrong?

thanks.

Totally normal! Sounds like a growth spurt. Things should regulate in a few days.

Yep. Sounds like a growth spurt to me. He should hopefully settle down in a couple of days.
