How do you all handle the editing process? I'm not so good at it. My skin is too thin, I guess, and I get offended too easily, and I don't like when editors make changes without consulting me. What's the protocol here?

I'm new at this myself, but it never happened to me that editors made changes without consulting me. I'd be pretty upset. Was it for fiction? What kind of magazines?
