How much do they weigh??? - Page 2

Emma is 7 weeks old today and when I took her to the Ped last Thursday she was 9 lbs. 14 oz.

She weighed 6 lbs. 9 oz. at birth.

DD is probably 12 1/4 lbs ish. I've been weighing her + me & then me on my ILs scale on Sundays, but she and I were camped out in a strange grocery store trying to get home while she screamed everytime I put her in her car seat at that time yesterday, so . . .

Almost double her birth weight by 10 weeks on Wednesday!

I don't have big or chunky babies, though. She's my chunkiest and compared to some of her chunkier cousins, almost all EBF, she's a sylph! But healthy & happy (except in the car at night )

Santiago is 7 wks today and really close to 13 lbs, I think. He's been gaining well, as he was born at 7lb3oz... Heavy enough to start making my back hurt sleeping in my ring sling right now!

I thought my baby was getting really big but now i'm thinking she's pretty tiny compared to a lot of your babies. but she was born at 6 lbs 12 oz and is now 2 months and 3 weeks old and weighs about 12 lbs or so.

Lyra was 8lbs 0.5 oz at birth. At our 6 week check up last week she was 9lbs 13oz. I haven't even considered pulling out 3-6 month clothes yet.

Abigail was 7lbs 5ozs at birth and 10lbs 12ozs at 6 weeks

Yikes - I weighed Santiago last night after posting and he is even bigger than I thought - 13lb9oz! Holy cow. I need to get the next box of clothes out. We're still in 0-3 months, but I think that's just because he pretty much lives in wool longies and t-shirts.

Just got home from the ped, and Jules weighed in at 11lbs 9 oz. He is 9 weeks old. His birth weight was 6lbs 6 oz. I am so glad he is gaining since he is a quick nurser, like taking sips ocasionally. Guess it is enough.

Peter is 4.5w and weighs just over 9lbs. He was 8lbs4oz at birth and lost ~.5lbs before gaining.

now I am wondering if her weight gain is too slow, everyone else's baby seems to be bigger. Wow. I'm breastfeeding on demand and she's getting lotsa milk.
Nope, Peter is right around the same as Emma and she is just a few days older. "Normal" is at least .5oz/day but even then there is a decent amount of wiggle room (i.e. baby had reflux issues or latching issues that took some time to resolve so that they could gain well).

I breastfeed on demand too and my first was just small until she hit age two. I seem to make skim milk (but at least I am making milk!).

so I just stopped by wic today and ds (7.5 wks) is now 12#s!!! He was only 6# 9oz at birth so I'm pretty amazed I knew he was getting big, but 12#s already!!

Oh, and I just moved him into 3-6month sleepers... I went to put him in a 0-3 month this morning and his lil legs were all squished!! Still fits in 0-3 month onesies/shirts though

So, we just finished a growth spurt. Torin is 6weeks old tomorrow and weighs 15lbs even. Dh was joking last night that I don't have breastmilk, I have breastbutter.

Little B is 8 weeks and was 11 lb 4 oz today. She was 7 lbs 12 oz when she was born.

Jack is 10 lbs at 8 weeks, he was 7 lbs 10 oz at birth. He has very bad GERD so the Drs are happy he is gaining at all, he vomits at least 10 times a day.

Cavan is 7.5 weeks and weighs 9 lbs 7 oz. He was 6 lbs even at birth.

A good friend of mine who was tandem nursing had "breastbutter"... in our circle we joked actually that she made all cream. Her ds was 28lbs beofre he hit a year. I remember her at a party sweating holding him (her hair was drenched). She asked it it was hot. I offered to hold ds and after about 3 minutes I gave him back and told her "nope" holding her ds was just a workout!

Well according to the "with and without baby method," ds is about 11 pounds at 6 weeks. I am anxious to get to the midwife for a real weight check in. He was 9 pounds at birth.

I love the "breastbutter" comment! That's great!

Bradly had his two month appt yesterday. 15lbs 6 oz

Needless to say dr. was very very happy for him lol. Also We had a long disscussion on vac. I am so glad we have a ped. that is very open about vacc. He has been researching it and lets just say were "holding off" until some things get better/ which they may never will. He enlightened me on a few things I had no idea about and I am really appalled by.

Anyways Bradly is very healthy and growing great.

Fiona was weighed for the first time in a month or so today--she's 6.5 weeks, and she weighs 14 pounds.

Josiah was 8 lbs, 14 oz at birth, dropped to 8 lbs even within 24 hours, and was down to 7 1/2 lbs at 2 weeks. I'm guessing he's about 11 1/2 now, and still in a lot of his newborns, with 3 months mostly too big. I'm guessing his shortness is surely why that is, since he was only 19 inches with a 3-4 inch cone at birth.
