Jackson is 6 weeks and weighs 13lb 14oz. He was 8lb 2.5oz at birth. He has finally slowed down on nursing frequency. He used to want to eat at all wakings, now he is content to just sit around looking at the wall. My boobs have finally adjusted to that, but for a few days it was miserable. Soon everyones little ones will be laughing and crawling like mad.

My little elf was about 10 lbs at 7 weeks. I'm surprised she's not huge like the rest of the babies around here. She nurses a lot and goes through like 15+ diapers a day.

At 8 weeks Finnian was 10 15oz. Tulula some of mine were bigger and some smaller, Eiley was born bigger, but did not stay that way. They are all different.

Congrats! I am insanely jealous. I am still 20lbs over my prepreg weight, ugh!

My first was tiny at this age, barely on the charts, like 9ish lbs. She was only 11 lbs at 3 months. My second, well we never weighed her much becuase I wasn't seeing an LC often and I didn't do well baby visits since I didn't vax. But she was really fat, so I presume pretty heavy by this phase :

Yeah Eiley was 10lbs 3oz, but at almost 5 months she was only 12lbs 12oz I believe. It was stressful, but that is just the way she is. She is now only 18lbs. Finnian is going to surpass her and they will look like twins.

re diapers: I think we change up to 20 and 30 some days... and I'm still 20+ lbs over my pre-pre-prego weight... but I'm happy

DS is up to 14lbs 12oz at 8wks and has grown 3 and a half inches! He was 9 13 at birth... we packed up the 0-3's long ago.

Hey TAlula, Jonah is sorta the same. I thought hid gain was imoresive until I saw this. He was 9.2lbs at birth. His 2 month check up is tomorrow, but a recent weigh put him at 12.2. So, 3 lbs since birth. Very normal, fro
what I understand. He eats about every three hours during the day and every 4 at night. He seems happy, is very alert. Rolled over this week. Started laughing too. Was smiling at like a month!! I have a doctor as a witness that it wasn't gas lol anyhow, I won't worry too hard b/c he seems to be doing fine.

I feel like such a boob for being MIA for so long. Rohnin's colic is finally starting to get a little better, but I still have to sleep in a recliner in our living room with him on my chest or its like its the end of the world for him. My recovery is finally coming to an end. My incisision just closed 100% as of 2 weeks ago. internal infection -check, thrush for us both -check, yeast infection on my whole lower belly/upper thighs -check, vaginal yeast infection -check, incision closed - check, blocked duct -check. Man, I hope thats it for awhile.

Rohnin had his 2 month checkup last Mon, and he's doing great. He was 7lb 8oz at birth, at 1 month he was up to 8 lbs even, and at 2 months he's up to 11lbs 4.5oz, and has gained 3 inches in head circumference from his 1month appt. Geesh, now I know why he was nursing ALL THE TIME!

I hope everyone else is doing well! I can't believe how fast the last 2 months have flown by.

We just had our 2 month appt yesterday.

Silas is 16 pounds!

He was 95% for height but off the (breastfed baby) charts for weight. I am already packing up a lot of his 3-6 month clothes. Help!

ugh Crystal! I think I also have an infection, I'm waiting on a call from the midwife with the lab results. Not as bad as you though.. hopefully if it is a bacterial thing I'll NOT get thrush/YI from the abx. ugh. no fun. I hope things clear up fast for you.

I am starting to worry about Wy's weight gain. I weighed him on a baby scale a week ago and it was 11#7z, obviously my home scale is incorrect since it said 11.5# a few weeks ago - but I still weighed him today for fun and it still says 11.5#. I know that he is having plenty of wet/dirty diapers so he is getting enough but I'd REALLY like to see that number go up!

Speaking of our weights, I'm now 6lbs below my prepg weight. I am hungry all the time. Do I need to worry about dropping weight too fast? I try to eat when hungry but that isn't always possible d/t baby sleeping on me and not having my snack stash nearby. I'm not dieting, I just can't eat enough to keep up - I feel like I'm constantly eating. I am about 30ish # over weight at this point so dropping some isn't going to hurt me. Is losing too fast going to negatively impact milk production?

DD1 started out big and just kept growing, DD2 started out big and more or less stayed the same weight for a while so while her big sis blasted through the clothing sizes she is still (at 26mo) in 12-18mo outfits. DS seems to be following dd1 though and I just broke out some of the 9mo onsies for his 2mo self. But the thing is, dd2 fell down the weight chart for a year but since she was happy/healthy/hitting milestones our family practice dr was fine just watching and waiting for her to find her own curve. And around a year she did... 75% height and 10% weight. So maybe your kiddo will be similar?

maternal weight loss- really rapid loss can impact breastmilk, as can dehydration. Your body will put a lot of energy towards breastmilk, but there is still an impact. Can you stash "survuval snack packs" around the house and in places you find yourself "stuck" with a babe? Maybe granola, or nuts and coconut flakes, or a luna bar, or crackers with cheese, and a bottle of water?

I'm still "up" about 7-10lbs.

I got some luna bars and lara bars to keep by the recliner I get trapped in a lot. thanks for reminding me to drink. I need more water!

Sullivan just had his 2 month check up this morning and is just shy of 14 lbs!! He's also 24.25 inches tall up from 20 inches at birth! He's at the 90% for both. I'm so proud of my Mama's milk!!
