You hear a lot about gardasil and bad side effects... I just ran across this article... about Cervarix by GlaxoSmithKline

I can't believe they have the nerve to say it was all in her head! I suppose anything is possible, but what 13 yr old girl is going to spend a year in the hospital for nothing?

Since it is the newer of the HPV vaccines, I suspect this is just the beginning of stories like this

Does anyone else think this sounds like Guillan Barre Syndrome?

14 year-old girl dies after vaccine

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/lif...ffset=0&page=1

see I told you it was just the beginning.

Quote:
The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) said that 4,657 instances of side-effects and adverse reactions had been reported in relation to Cervarix. These included cases of allergic reactions, dizziness and nausea, but officials said that the vaccine was considered to have a good safety profile and had not been associated with severe side-effects not listed in the product information.
I guess they forgot to add death as a possible side effect.

its just coincidence - don't you know? apparently, normal, healthy teenage girls drop dead for no reason or get paralyzed all the time. you just don't hear about it unless they have been recently vaccinated. RANT

I am so sad about this girl.

Other girls fell ill after the vaccine as well.

The immunization rate for this one is 7 out of 10 girls who are just reaching puberty? That's insane! 70% of the female children of the 12-13 yr age group have had the vaccine, with no one knowing what effects they'll suffer in 30 years from it. How frightening!

As for the family in the original story, well I can certainly see why they called child services - because you know, the effects couldn't possibly be from the vaccine and I'm sure it's very easy to fake out medical professionals in a health care facility for a year and make them think you can't walk when you can.

Have you experienced a serious side effect from the Gardasil or Cervarix vaccine?

You may be eligible to participate in a research study. We would like to know about your opinions on and experience with human papillomavirus (HPV) and the HPV vaccines (Gardasil and Cervarix). The study includes a survey an optional telephone interview.
To qualify for this study, you must:
- Be female
- Live in the United States
- Have experienced a “serious adverse event” (side effect) you believe to be the result of the Gardasil or Cervarix vaccine. This includes:
- Life-threatening conditions
- Hospitalization
- Disability or permanent physical damage
- Birth defects
- Conditions requiring medical treatment or surgery
- Conditions that do not require medical treatment or surgery now but may in the future to avoid one of the above outcomes

To participate in the survey, visit: www.SurveyMonkey.com/HpvGardasilCervarix

This study is sponsored by the University of Arizona Department of Sociology. The project is approved by the University of Arizona Institutional Review Board. Please contact the Principal Investigator, Sarah Strand, at sstrand@email.arizona.edu for more information.

Reuters reports that the UK NHS is discontinuing GSK's Ceravix and will now use Merck's Gardasil.  Lots of luck.

No more Ceravix reactions.
