Laundry Question

Thread Starter
Do any mamas CHOOSE to do laundry at the laundry mat? I feel like I'm doing a ton of laundry and our neighbourhood doesn't allow clothes lines. I'm running the washer and dryer averaged at least once a day. I think that it would actually SAVE money to go to the laundry mat and do 2/3 loads in the huge machines once a week?
Dh is on the fence about it,but it's not like he does laundry anyways

There's me, dh(work/reg clothes), ds(3), dd(8 months). I change sheets once a week(unless accidents), towels for all of us, and I don't use any paper towels so cloth for all spills.
Yes?/No?

TIA

I don't choose to. I have a washer and dryer but limited water, so we head to the laundry mat to do wash. I have 4 kids but don't do my sheets every week and it costs me around $10 - $15 a week to do wash, then I bring home and dry on the line if it's nice. I really think it would depend on how much your local laundry mat costs - it's going to vary.
I do hate carrying my laundry into and out of the car. Ugh!

My Mom owns a coin laundry. It is pretty incredible to finish all the laundry in the house in under 2 hours! But lugging the stuff in & out of the car does suck - especially in the winter.

Why don't you try it a couple of times & see if it works for you?

With the large washers you can fill them pretty good - most people underfill them & don't get their money's worth.

ummm...I would start by not changing the sheets so often.
