question about CLO

Thread Starter
for those of you who take CLO ...
I can buy locally some tins of cod livers produced in Danemark, in oil

in the past I once ate most of a small tin by myself (a little smaller than a tin or sardines, about 3 ounces or a little more) because I was greedy and loved the taste THEN I had some temporary but worrying vision troubles.

so my question is; how much cod liver oil do you take per day and how much (in ounces or fractions of ounces) actual cod liver would it be safe for me to spread on toast ????

TIA !

We take fermented CLO, but I suspect it would be similar amounts:

DH: 1 tsp/day
Kids: 1/3 tsp/day
Me (preggo and taking theraputic dose) 1.5 tsp day

Take care where you source your CLO from... not all are created equal.

I think the dosage depends on how concentrated the vitamins A and D are in the oil, so a dosage of high vitamin clo would be less than that of regular clo, for example. Here's more on the WAPF website: http://www.westonaprice.org/basicnut...nu.html#brands
