I'm still pg, having a weird sensation down there.Update

Okay this is hard to explain.

Last night and today after being on my feet for awhile it feels like something is between my legs, like when you are wearing a tampon and it starts to slide out, but higher up-- closer to the cervix. It feels like a wad or something. Afterward I get really WET, but it doesn't seem like I'm leaking fluid.

I have been losing LOTS of mucus (but I have been for weeks now-- so that's not a new thing).

I don't feel it now, but if I stand for more than a 10 mins I feel it. Weird huh. Any ideas?

(background: 40w3d, 5 cm dilated, effaced, not in labor, blah, blah, blah)

It could be the baby dropping then rising or the bag bulging a bit. Both can cause that feeling. At 5cm you would probably feel those more than most

I was wondering if it is the bag of water. It is just such a weird feeling.

I will keep thinking "opening" thoughts!!

I'd say either it's your bag, or maybe more mucous? When you feel it, is there any movement? Anyone think it's possible baby could have a hand up by his/her head????

I just got home from midwife appt. They check me and it was my Urethral Sponge. it is a common thing to shift in pg/labor.

Not so exciting huh.

Also I am still 4-5 cm dilated but more effaced and the baby's head in lower... they also said when they checked me at 36 weeks I was 4-5 cm on the outside of my cervix but my inner opening (I didn't know there were two) was about 1-2cm (kind of funnel shaped). But now I am 4-5 all around and that they could have probably stretched me a bit more.

They think it could be any day... but then they were shocked I made it this far. :
