End of the month roll call!

Thread Starter
Well we're reaching the end of our month and I'm wondering who is still hanging in there with baby on the inside?

My due date was 9/27 so I'm at 40+1 and ready to go. Had an internal today and I'm a little over 4cm dilated, 80% effaced and baby is at +3 station. While she was there, the midwife swept membranes but she said there really wasn't too much attached anyway. I am having a bit of bloody show and some cramping - not sure if it's rhythmic though at this point. Planning a homebirth!

Anyone else?

I'm still here. I was due on the 24th. Honestly, at this point, I was hoping to make it to the first couple of days of October (I know...crazy, right)? Things feel like they are starting to gear up though, and I think I'll be having my little girl in the next day or two. Who knows, though, right?

I'm still here! My due date is today. Nothing new going on. I went into labor with my 1st on my actual due date so I'm hoping it will be soon this time too.

Still here too! EDD is Sept 30, so I might have a few days to a few weeks to go, although I am hoping for the former. Early October would be fine, but it is getting so hard to move around now, I feel like one big ache.

I'm still here, but just barely! EDD was 9-25. I've had contractions for 9 hours straight now and they're just now starting to get a bit uncomfortable With my last birth, when active labor started, it went FAST and I had a baby in my arms in about two hours. Hoping for the same this time

Good luck 2boyzmama, sounds like this could be it for you!!!

I'm still hanging in. . .40+2 today and so ready to be done. My hips and my back have gone into super-achey mode and sleeping is difficult to say the least.

Just waiting and waiting. Thinking Oct bday for this LO.

Was due on the 23rd. I've been having contractions every 10 minutes since 2am and my water broke about four hours ago. Didn't really speed anything up though!

I'm here

I'm here. My EDD according to LMP is today, so I'm just waiting and hoping that these patternless contractions I've been having all day will turn into something real...!

I'm here, but not for lack of trying...this kid is way more comfortable on the inside than I am on the outside

I'm still here too! Due date was September 23rd, so I'm 40 weeks plus 5. I've been feeling really tired, but haven't been feeling any contractions. Looks like I might be having an October baby after all. I've been going to regular acupuncture appointments to get things moving, but so far baby is happy to stay inside.

One weird thing I've noticed is that my hip bones are cracking when I shift positions in bed. Very weird!

I'm here too. I was due the 25th. I have been 2cm and -2 for 6 weeks. Hopefully soon. I'm having a lot more cramping today ....so who knows.

Much Love,

I'm here too. Now that I've made it this far, I'd like to get to the end of the week and be over this cold. As of today I'm 40+4. And at 4 cm.

The OB offered to sweep my membranes today, but I declined. I've had two BPP, and they show everything is fine in there.

I'm still here. Rocking out at 41+1 (due date was 9/20)

Things have been gradually progressing and I was at 5cm when I finally gave in and consented to an internal check yesterday - the suspense of not knowing if ANYTHING was happening made me cave in.

Then I lost the mucus plug today and hopefully tomorrow we get some contraction action or water breakage. As long as there is some little bit of forward momentum each day, it keeps me from getting down and freaking out - because even though I *know* she's fine in there...I'm still getting nervous (friends and family worrying for me doesn't help LOL)

I know she'll come when she's ready and it's time but for goodness sake, it just feels like she's taking the whole "fashionably late" thing a bit far! LMAO

Still here too! Not dilated at all. Boo.

I'm still here too. Edd was 9/25. I went in for my first NST yesterday, and the baby is doing fine... Ultrasound on Thursday estimated her at 9 lbs, 15 ozs... So they tried to push a c-sect on me. I decided to hire a doula on Friday *sigh*. I see a mw backed by the ob, she's ok with me laboring, he's not... Says my pelvis is 'unproved', but doesn't seem to want to let me prove it!

I let my mw sweep my membranes (I was at a 2cm, 80%, mid-position, and soft)... That was yesterday at 3 ish... I felt some happenings after for a bit, but just woke up with nada...

Has anyone had their membranes swept, and then successfully gone into labor? If so... How long does that take?

I'm here! Just 40+2 so trying to just assume this babe will be about a week late like my son.
If we go past that it will definitely be harder!
Not taking any homeopathics either due to VBAC this time, but definitely having warm up contrax which I didn't have last time.
Good luck to all of you women who are beyond ready!
We will all have our babies so soon.

DOn't let them scare you with ultrasound measurements!!!! I have only ever heard of an ultrasound estimating a term baby at MORE than they weigh, not less! And I can't tell you how many moms have been coerced into inductions or c-sections only because of a big baby, then that "big" baby isn't as big as they thought. It's stupid to not even let you labor, I've seen women deliver some pretty good sized babies, it all depends on what your anatomy does DURING labor. You could have very narrow hips right now, but the hormones of labor will allow your pelvis to accomodate the baby just fine! And remember that babies are designed to "mold", their heads get longer and less diameter, their shoulders can move around...

The trick will be listening to your body during labor, get into a variety of positions, particularly when pushing, stay upright as much as possible, and fight off those interventions! Something as simple as continuous monitoring can cascade quickly.

You can do it, mama!!!!
