IDeas for home sewn party favors for kindergarten class...Help?

Ok so i signed up to bring in the party favors for my sons kindergarten class , they have a monthly birthday party for all the kids who have birthdays during the month. I don't want to buy any plastic junk from the dollar store (you know the stuff your kid usually comes home with) So I need ideas, help.
I only have two, maybe three
Fabric bookmarks
bean bags
crayon rolls (a lot of work for 20 kids) don't know


any others, something simple I can use scrap fabric to make???

My first thought was the crayon rolls, but if time and $ is an issue I think I'd do the bookmarks. When I was a kid I loved having cool bookmarks.

Yeah, I think I'm going to go with the bookmarks. I"m a slooooow sewer, I think I have more of chance to finish the bookmarks. I think the kids will like it too. THose paper bookmarks tend to fall apart evenutually. I have lots of funky kid fabrics for boys & girls.

Those are cute, but I just see the kids pulling them off the pencils kiwm. I'd like to give something that can be used by the kids, not just a decoration.

Small drawstring bags? Kids can put sooo many things in them...rocks; rings; marbles; etc. Whatever they like to collect!

What about crayon necklaces? You could even ask the teacher for all the scraps and melt them down into candy molds, put a hole through them and insert yarn, and there you go.

I once used my scraps to make "shooting stars" - basically a small round beanbag with a long fabric tail (roughly 1" x 24" or longer - unhemmed, used pinking shears). When you throw them, the tail sails out behind them in a very pleasing way - they are lots of fun for the kids. I got the idea from a Waldorf preschool.

I made bean bags for a 4 year birthday favor and they were a HUGE hit. Couldn't be easier too.

One year we made little painted wooden dolls. I bough the dolls at a dollar store, they were for sale as game pieces. The kids helped me paint them, we did boy ones and girl ones. I will look for a link, I saw them online once!
