Okay, I am a little frustrated. I just ordered a 1000 snaps and pliers. They are so user friendly and I am very happy with them. They also have a HUGE selection, can get more sockets then studs, etc. I don't know if my press would work for any brand plastic snaps or not.
So, I go back onto the website, as I severely underestimated how many snaps I would need for side snapping diapers. I make another order, and when I go through Paypal, they say I have an unconfirmed address. Now, I have used my PP several times lately (I was on LOA before that), even with this company already. It wants me to add a credit card or debit card; one which I don't own, and the other my bank advises to NOT put online, or I cannot check out. So, I email the owner, and he/she says that they have installed a new thing to protect themselves and others that they will not ship to unconfirmed addresses. My address was confirmed for years, but when I was selling on Ebay, there would be times it showed unconfirmed, and the buyer would say that they were for a long time, and it must be a glitch. And, the next time I checked the order, they were members for YEARS, and then they were showing confirmed. I never had any issue even sending items to unconfirmed addresses.
So, I wrote them back about this whole glitch thing, as at first, I thought I accidentally ended up on a scam PP site, and that was why they were wanting that kind of info when I have had my PP set up for YEARS. He/she also suggested checking out with Google, which is one way I thought about doing it, but then decided against, as I have no experience with them. I also said that I would be willing to send a check or MO, as I just want the snaps, and I think they do accept payment that way.
Are others okay with Google check out?
Can I use other plastic snaps, say Very Baby, with KAM pliers? I don't really want to switch, but I am NOT putting my debit card online. I could also look for snaps on Ebay or Etsy, I suppose, but I don't know if the pliers are interchangeable. I already spent so much on the pliers, I am NOT wanting to go to dies and a hammer. KWIM?
