East Bay Mom get together

I'm moving back to the bay area (flights tomorrow!) and I don't have any friends with kids. Is anyone interested in getting together for a potluck or something in the East Bay? If so post below...

I'm in the East Bay, also.

But I'm on the other side of the Caldecott on the Concord, Walnut Creek, Clayton border.

I'm trying to initiate a playgroup more local to me, if anyone is interested.

Hi, I would love to know more about mom get- togethers in the east bay as well. I'm 25, 8 months pregnant with my first baby, and have no friends with kids. So if you could let me know about any groups or classes where I might meet other moms, I would really, really appreciate it.

I'm up for meeting next week. I was going to suggest it too. Any day but Wednesday is good for me, preferably noon or later bc my little one naps until 11 or 11:30.

Hi ladies, I wanted to pop in and say hi. Right now I'm in San Mateo, but it looks like we'll be buying a house in Hayward soonish (like before the tax credit is up.)

There is a bay area attachment parents group on meet-up.com that is having a get-together at Sulphur Creek in Hayward on Friday. I've never actually been to one of their meet-ups, but it seems like a bunch of like-minded folk.

Anyone out there in Hayward?!?!

Welcome to the neighborhood!

I'm in Union City and I'm in that meetup group as well. We missed Sulphur Creek, but we're planning to be at the Newark CC park on the 9th (it's on the calendar) if you want to meet up.

There seem to be a fair number of East Bay MDC mamas, but "East Bay" is pretty vague and commuting is not so fun... There is also a Fremont thread around here somewhere that I am too lazy to find/bump at the moment.

If you go to meet-up.com just search for bay area attachment parents.

nice to know there are some Hayward mommas out there. We just put another offer in today on a different house, and I have a good feeling that we will get this place. The real estate market in Hayward is pretty competitive right now, but since they extended the tax credit we have a bit of time to find the right place.
