I have been going to prayer mtgs and my latest message was to realy READ the Psalms and proverbs. It was funny in a way becasue other than Ephesians and Galatinas whecih I cann't seem to get out of, I had just added the Psalms and proverbs . I feel, though based on environment , I am going two forward three back. I am trying to keep him first because I know anything I put before him is lost to me. I am so grateful for his grace, knowing thqat even during the tough times he is holding me and my refuge. Praise you Lord!

Hey Zonapellucida! I love psalms. During a rather difficult time I rediscovered them and the depth of them. I only recently discovered how beautiful they are in the KJV and introduced the kjv to my kids by reading psalms. They are beautiful. AWESOME!

welcome heather and zona

I love the Psalms too. Proverbs and Psalms have a lot of wisdom in them. Drink it in!

Other than that, I love the old gospel songs that I grew up with like 'Looking for a city' and 'I'll fly away'. Some of the best memories I have of Church (I grew up in a very back woods Church of God in a town that was nothing more than a road or two) is singing those old time songs.
We are huge PILLAR fans at our house. Their stuff is awesome.

Praying for you and your fam right now. We spent 6 weeks in the hosp when dd stopped breathing at 4 months, and at the time I felt like I could not breathe. It was the first time in my life when "Pray without ceasing" became a way of life.

This was one of the songs that I would sing to DD while we were in the hospital. It is Matthew West's album "Happy"

Take a look at the mountain
Stretching a mile high
Take a look at the ocean
Far as your eye can see
And think of me

Take a look at the desert
Do you feel like a grain of sand?
I am with you wherever
Where you go is where I am
And I'm always thinking of you
Take a look around you
I'm spelling it out one by one

I love you more than the sun
And the stars that I taught how to shine
You are mine and you shine for me too
I love you
Yesterday
And today
And tomorrow
I'll say it again and again
I love you more

Just a face in the city
Just a tear on a crowded street
But you are one in a million
And you belong to me
And I want you to know
I'm not letting go
Even when you come undone

I love you more than the sun
And the stars that I taught how to shine
You are mine and you shine for me too
I love you
Yesterday
And today
And tomorrow
I'll say it again and again
I love you more
I love you more

Shine for me
Shine for me
Shine on, shine on
Shine for me

I love you more than the sun
And the stars that I taught how to shine
You are mine and you shine for me too
I love you
Yesterday
And today
And tomorrow
I'll say it again and again
I love you more

Anj that is my all time favourite song.. thanks for reminding me.

What about Christmas songs. What are your faves?

One of mine isnt strictly a christms song but its all about Jesus birth. Adoration by Newsboys.

Its been so long since I just sat in His presence and worshipped. Some months actually. Ive been very busy studying some heavy stuff and just listening to that song reminded me of all the time I spent in his presence in the last few years, when I needed him so much, His comfort, and how much I missed it.

Ya know what else? I give myself such a hard time spiritually. Ill recieve a compliment from someone about it and wont believe them. I think there are times when the Lord wants to convey how pleased he is with us but we are in no way able to accept it.

Ive been feeling a bit rough lately guys, a minor chronic ailment that I suffer from has flared up and I feel really rough actually. Could you pray for me? thanks.

Genifer,

I am praying for you. Suffering can produce such amazing kindness and fruit. I am sorry you are suffering but hold fast to what you know to be True.

I love O Come, O Come Emmanuel! Such a wonderful advent song!

And Joy to the World, O Come All Ye Faithful and Hark! the Angels Herals Sing are wonderful songs to sing with all your heart.

I love the hymns Holy! Holy! Holy! and How great thou Art!, too!

Welcome to all the new people.

Gen-I will pray for you.

I'm a lover of all worship music. But I love anything I can dance to. In the messianic congreation I was going to we would just dance and dance. I so miss that!!!

May this year bring peace and contentment!

genifer: Psalms and proverbs was the message I got form my last preayer mtg. I also had the most amazing experience. I had been talking on Platalk with Muslims and it was suppposed to be defend your faith. Well I don't judge but found some to be very rude to the point where I had to leave the room. I went to church that night and a missionary from PAKISTAN who had been converting Muslims spoke! He (th e LORD) puts us exaclty where we need to be. I also had the opportunity to preach ((attempt to convert ) to JW'sd I took a copy of their Bible to compare to several of our interpretatuions. One day I would love to read it (the Bible or scrolls) in the original language since something is always lost in interpretation.

Sending out lots of Love Off to read Psalms 37, my favorite at this time and then to bed.

Absolutely.

Heavenly Father, I want to lift up all of the people affected by the earthquake in Haiti. I pray that your mercy would pour down upon those individuals, particularly those who dont know of your love and grace. I pray that aid makes its way into the most needy areas very quickly and that people on the ground recieve exactly what they need where food, shelter and such is concerned. I pray, Daddy, that you would use this time to minister to the souls of the people effected by this tragedy. Lord, I pray you are at work in the hearts of the people there, bringing them to a knowledge of who you are and how much you love them, and ultimately bringing them into Your family. I know you care about their material wellbeing, basic needs of food, water, warmth, clothing and shelter and I pray that you would provide for those needs in abundance, but I know you care much more about the lost soul. I pray this opportunity opens up ways to bring some to a knowledge of you. In Jesus' Name, amen.
