Night's good, what about the day??

2 nights ago my son started waking up in the middle of the night to pee! He goes shortly after sitting on the potty, then goes back to sleep right away! He's only waking 1-2 times a night, so the diaper is still wet, but hey, better than nothing! I'm such a proud mommy!

A few weeks ago he was fussing during the day before he peed, so I could get him to the potty and it was great. But now he's just peeing in his pants during the day-unless we are in the car, then he fusses before it's time.

Any advice for helping him him signal during the day? Do I just wait it out or is there something I can do?

We've used timing more than signalling for most of the EC journey! (Until recently, when she tells me consistently, so cool!) How old is your babe?

That is really exciting!

I recommend timing during the day, and if he's old enough asking him as a way to prepare him to recognize it on his own. I like to take the calmly informing approach i.e. "you know, when you need to pee, you can pee in the potty."

He is 11 months old. I wish he would just start signing!! He did a few nights of waking to pee, but is now sleeping through again. I think it's because we went away last weekend and he refused to use the potty, so he wore diapers all weekend. I still changed him ASAP to keep him from getting too used to being wet.

He is doing GREAT during the day now, he doesn't really signal that he has to go, but he has been holding it when we are out running errands. He held it for 4 hours the other day!! I finally sat him on a public toilet and with some major distracting, he finally went in public!!
