Can you please help me find a poem?

I don't know the title, but I remember what the poem is about.

It is written from a childs perspective, and the child goes on to say things like "please be patient with me" because he/she will make mistakes and when I interupt please show me this and when I do this please be nice...it really is about the child expressing how they are going to make mistakes and asking you, their parent, to show them the way. It's a very touching poem.

Anyone?
Thank you.

As I Grow

~Author Unknown~

Please understand I am growing up and changing very fast.
It must be difficult to keep pace with me, but please try.

Please reward me for telling the truth.
Then I am not frightened into lying.

Please tell me when you make mistakes and what you learned from them.
Then I can accept that I am okay, even when I blunder.

Please pay attention to me and spend time with me.
Then I can believe that I am important and worthwhile.

Please help me explore my unique interests, talents and potential.
In order for me to be happy, I need to be me.

Please do the things you want me to do.
Then I have a good, positive model.

Please tell me by your words and actions that you love me.
Then I will feel loveable and will be able to love myself and others.

Thank you gsd1amommy! That's a great one but not the one I was looking for. I actually found it last night;

Please, Mom and Dad....
My hands are small. I don't mean to spill my milk.
My legs are short - please slow down so I can keep up.
Don't slap my hands when I touch something bright and pretty. I don't understand.
Please look at me when I talk to you. It lets me know you are really listening.
My feelings are tender - don't nag me all day. Let me make mistakes without feeling stupid.
Don't expect the bed I make or the picture I draw to be perfect. Just love me for trying.
Remember, I am a child, not a small adult. Somtimes I don't understand what you're saying.
I love you so much. Please love me just for being myself, not just for the things I do.
