Green beans still producing?

If you can't tell, this is my first year successfully growing green beans...

I have bush beans and they're still producing, is this normal? I guess I thought that they would be done by now. It's almost October and I am probably still getting about half a pound each day off of 20 plants.

I don't know if it's normal for where you live. I live in zone 6 and we still have green beans coming!

It's my first year gardening as well and I was also surprised that I was still getting so many green beans! Delicious.

I've read that if you pick them it helps them produce more. And I experienced that this year. Last year they got big and fat on me too quick, so I didn't pick them and they didn't produce all summer. But this year, I picked and picked and picked, like every other day.

I am in zone 5 and still picking green beans. Kentucky Wonder pole beans. Had some for dinner tonight that I picked this evening. My first year for beans as well and I am not sure if it is due to the weather or not. We are finally getting summer squash & zucchini now. The lack of sun all June really slowed things down.
