Loving my raw milk!!

Just wanted to share how happy I am, as a "lactose intolerant" person who has not had milk in more than 8 years, I have now discovered this creamy wonderfullness I have no cramping, bloating, pain and all the other really crummy things that regular milk used to do to me. We got to visit the farm today and meet the farmer, it was great. I am working on overhauling my diet and I feel like this is a good one to add. I'm also thrilled at the health benefits of it and my kids are loving it too!

On a side note: Prior to discovering the raw milk, we had milk delivered from a local farm. Today my dd saw a UPS truck and said "look a chocolate milk truck!"
Gotta love it

I'm glad you love raw milk!!! We have a local (err sorta) farmer that does raw milk and grass-fed free range cows, as well as lamb, chickens and eggs. I am SO thankful for what they do!!! THe prices are SO reasonable. What isn't - is that he is about 2 hours away from me. =(

I have been toying with the idea of raw milk for my DS when I stop pumping. He only nurses twice a day and I have been sending pumped milk to daycare but my supply is running low and I don't seem to pump much anymore . I really don't like regular milk...even organic. The pasteurization is yucky!!

So I was thinking either raw milk (which is not that easy to get...no farmers around where I am, although a market about 20 minutes from me does sell it) or goat's milk...but the goat's milk (which is easier to get) would be pasteurized) hmmm not quite sure which way to go???

Go for the raw milk. Pasteurized goat milk tastes horrible! If you can get raw milk at a market, even if it's 20 mins away, I would definitely make the trip out there once a week or whatever to get it. I drive about 30 mins to a goat farm to get raw goat's milk.

Live Well!
