A Menu Grocery Shopping Calculator?

I might have to program this myself, but just in case- does anyone know of a menu calculator in which you can type in what you are going to make and it spits out what you have to buy? Where you can enter more than one meal?

I've seen something like this before, but what would be really cool is one that "learns" your recipes for things and even allows you to put in prices for ingredients and calculates the cost of each meal and/or serving.

Do you remember what it was called? I keep getting really irritating commercial sites in my Google searches.

This sounds like a cookbook. Punch in what you want to make and it tells you the ingredients? Am I missing something more to what you're asking?

Recipezaar.com does this for recipes on their site. Once you select your recipes you click a button to add the recipe ingredients to your shopping list. The shopping list separates the food into groups- dairy, produce, etc. You can edit the shopping list and print it out. I would imagine that many of the recipe sites have something similar.

I just learned about Kitchen Monki, but haven't tried it yet. I'm hoping for the same thing.

LOL, yes you are missing something.

What I want to do is to punch in the dishes I want to cook, and it calculates the monthly SHOPPING LIST, without me having to add up flour cup by cup, eggs yolk by yolk, etc. I mean for like a week, not just a single recipe.

I never tried that on recipezaar- cool! Kitchenmonki looks awesome. Thanks, ladies!
