Well its heater time here too, I had the gas co out today lighting the pilot light, here's to not freezing our buns off this fall! Last year I didn't call to schedule in time and we froze for a couple of weeks until they could get to us. Need to get the electric blankets washed and on the beds, it was a bit chilly last night.

Today I'm a bit freaked out about finances, were $200 in the hole this month and its all stuff I can't put off, mainly gas to get to and from school. No idea where I'm getting the $ to see the Dr next week to find out if I have cancer, its about $50 between gas and parking ($12 just to park! That's crazy!) and I'm really freaked out that if I have it, how am I going to get back and forth for treatment?! (its a 3 hour drive) I called the insurance since they provide bus tickets but they make it a 3 day trip which is insane, the bus takes wayyyy longer, 6-8 hours so they send you the day before (and no they don't pay lodging) then you go home the day after. I'm freaking out about leaving my SN kid with my mom for the day rather then the nurse, over night is out of the question (much less 3 days!) and I can't bring her to the appt (I need to concentrate on the appt and may be having a biopsy that day). I'm just feeling majorly stressed right now between $ and wondering if its cancer. I mean I've known about the tumor 12 weeks and I've been able to kind of ignore it but now that they actually made the appt and the Dr wants me in his next clinic day rather then waiting worries me, they've actually double booked me and are working me in. Its never a good sign when an oncologist wants you in that fast

On the upside I found a new pair of jeans for my 9yr old for $1.50 at the thrift store today (she only had 1 pair and I've been looking for weeks with no luck).

I just want you to know that I am thinking of you! What a scary thing. My sister had/has? breast cancer last fall (Thanksgiving as a matter of fact). I wasn't able to be with her due to all the kids, but I heard from everyone that her extreme positive attitude saved her life. She scared us all so much when she had her surgery scheduled, but cancelled it, but using her good intuition, she felt the doctor couldn't answer her questions properly, so she chose another doctor (and that took over a month). She finally had her surgery, and she was incredible.

I hope you don't have cancer but I am holding you in the light for good health and a positive attitude, no matter what.

That is also tough that you are worried about the money at a time like this. I think though, it's better to leave your child with your mom while you go through this possible biopsy. They probably wouldn't do it if you brought your child. Go to the appointment, find out what you are dealing with, face it like a warrior, and be well.

subbing. i need to at least start thinking about some pants for dd and coats and shoes but we're moving tomorrow and ds's bday is sunday so i guess i'll put it off some more. i am happy that my tiny new place has the utlities paid so i can make it as warm as i want (or cold)! no freezing, no starving, and a roof. it's all paid and i don't have to worry. i don't have to worry..... i'm starting college on the 21st hopefully the extra left from my pell grant will pay for child care and the extra gas plus books and supplies. if it covers all that without me dipping in my own money i'm gonna feel super lucky.

Hi everyone.
Well October started off with a "bang". I got my last paycheck from my job only to find out that they directdeposited it into the checking account that I CLOSED on accident. (wrong account ) So I called the payroll lady (very nice) and she said that they have to wait until the bank returns the check to them, then she will write me a check for the amount (it's $132.00) but that won't be until NEXT WEEK sometime!!!!!!!!! shitshitshitshitshit
They did give me a check for $50 for the headset that I bought for work 3 years ago, so I had a little bit of money (not anymore, of course) but...
And I called Mickey Finn's today (the One place I thought I had a good shot of getting a job) because it's been a week since I put in the application and I hadn't heard back from them. They have already hired someone. shitshitshitshit
Now, I have to really hope that my Unemployment Hearing on Oct 9th goes a LOT better than I think it's going to go. (fingerscrossed) cause otherwise...

I'm moving very soon and I can't figure out where I am going come up with $300 for the deposit. I didn't pay a deposit for the place I'm renting right now, so I won't be getting anything back. Do you all know of a place I can apply for money I can use towards my deposit?

Hoping the SS comes through immediately, then I would have the money for it.

The rent is a little more than what I am paying currently, and we will be living in 600 sq ft. We have been living in 1400 sq ft. I have no idea how we are going to do it, but I think our bikes will become more important to us now that we will be spending alot more time outside. One beautiful thing about this place is that the utilities are generally about $80 per month, down from my current $200 per month. Also, this place is just a few steps from a friends house, and we are excited about that.

I guess, I'll just have to try to muddle through. Thank Claude, I already have FS so I don't have to worry about food (just EVERYTHING else ) My landlord already knows, so that's one load off of my mind, but now I have to figure out how to keep the lights, heat and phone on.
Sigh, October usually is my favorite month of the year, but this year...sigh

that's the hardest thing about moving, the deposit. i won't get mine back either b/c of circumstances and coming up with $500 (avg for the places i was looking at) was/is just impossible. never get ahead....great i'm back here again. ugh.

I don't understand why the idea of losing this house is so hard for me. I don't want to be here. I don't like this house & it is we want to be back in the next city over where our family & friends are. I guess it is just hittng me hard right now that we are at a cross roads with the modification process being done & trying to figure out what to do next.

I just keep falling apart today. I am stressed & anxious to the point of having chest pains again which of course just make me even more stressed & anxious. Dh thought he had a good possibilty of getting a job yesterday but that turned into another scam. Yesterday I took a test for a job I applied for, but so did 220 other people, so it doesn't really look to good for me. I just don't know what to do anymore.
