I gave birth to my first child, Ethan Edward, at 1:42 pm on 9/29/09 after starting labor at 9:30 pm the night before. He was 9 lbs 7 oz and 21" long. I had horrible back labor, but I made it through with no drugs and some minor tearing. I also retained some of the amniotic sac, so they had to go "fishing" for it after birth... Very painful, both then and now... But Ethan is perfectly healthy, has a TON of hair, and breastfeeds like a vacuum... 
I typed up a long birth story last night, but it vanished when I tried to post. We're still at the hospital, so I'll try again later. We'll be going home around 2 pm. I can't wait to sleep in my own bed!
