What am I allergic to NOW?

Has anyone ever heard about a sensitivity to silicon dioxide?

I thought it was just hidden MSG that would cause a reaction occasionally, but I had a mild reaction last night at my parents (my poor dad. Cooks for us all the time and then I b!tch and moan about what might be in it...) and we looked at everything that went into the meal and the only things that we thought may even possibly caused it were chili (which I eat all the freakin time and never have a problem with) and silicon dioxide (anti caking agent) Silicon dioxide is supposed to pass right through the system, unabsorbed, but I guess I should know by now that I could have a problem with anything.

I have Celiacs as well, but we are sure there was no gluten. Almost all of my family are GF, and have GF kitchens. It was a very MSG style reaction, shaky limbs, nausea, headache. But there was nothing that had MSG in it.

HELP? Ideas?

what exactly was the meal?
You might want to check out glutamates in general as a suspect..

When you looked for MSG did you look for all the hidden sources? It is so cleverly hidden in labels!

Yes, I looked at everything, Mom made Ropa Viejo with meat, veggies, and Dad added a little Pace salsa (I think Pace is fine?? I didn't go back and double check since I eat it all the time) We also had jicama with lime and this spice mix that is just chili, lime, salt and silicon dioxide. I also had a little avocado. I eat fairly low carb and didn't have the beans and rice.
