Hey everyone! I just ran into this site and just in time bc i need some much needed encouragement. I'm 23 from Memphis TN just moved to Salem Mass to be with my bf. I've had PCOS since i was 16. I've been on so many different types of BC's just to try and regulate my periods its crazy. I've never had a period on my own. In Nov of last year we decided we wanted to try for a baby so i got off my BC. I wanted to see if i could get my own period and by feb i hadnt so i went to the doc. She put me on what i refer to as the pill from hell idk what it really was but it was to help me ovulate and it was HORRIBLE so i got off of it. I was frustrated already and had to think about moving so i just went back to a new doc this month to try something new. Since i havent had a period since Nov 08 they put me on provera and within 5 days i had a period. a MASSIVE period. 2 days ago i went in and had to do a endrometreal biopsy bc the bleeding was so bad. Talk about painful and stressful. After that was over he wrote me out another proscription for provera and also for clomid to start on Nov 1st. Lets just say im scared to death and very skeptical. I'm more than ready to start this but im more scared that when i start the provera again im going to do the same thing i did the last time. Just glad there was somewhere to vent and hopefully get a couple words of encouragement bc right now im kinda freaking out. Thanks in advance!

Encouragement

Hello and welcome to the forum! I am new to the site, myself. Although I don't have any information about the medications you are fixing to start, I wanted to send my prayers and thoughts your way! I pray that they will work for you, without any bad side effects...I also pray that you will soon get your well deserved BFP! I know that someone will be along shortly to offer some much needed information about those medications!

God bless you!

Hello,
I am also new to the site and have PCOS. I have just been diagnosed about a year ago, but I've had a lot of the symptoms for a long time. I am 24 and I have a beautiful 8 month old little girl (concieved naturally after I had given up on trying).

I am actually getting ready to start provera and my 1st round of clomid. I am a little nervous about it too. I guess I just don't know what to expect. I've taken Provera before and also had a very heavy period. It was because after not having AF for a long time, your uterine lining gets really thick. When was your last period?

Did you start the Provera yet?
