Wouldn't the sttue of limitations start with the dx at age 3?

I would say more but ds wants a story now... Thanks for posting ((hugs))

I was under the impression that statute of limitations period began when the complication was discovered. I also thought it was 3 years everywhere, but I admit to being ver ignorant on legal matters.

I do think you should send a private message to Dave2GA http://www.mothering.com/discussions/member.php?u=37343
He is a regular poster here, and a lawyer, who takes many wrongful circumcision cases. He could at least give you some feedback.

I also think you should do what you can to publicize what happened, and the policies of that hospital. You might at least forewarn some future parents and maybe embarrass the hospital into changing some of its policies.

Good luck, and I hope your DS is doing better.

Wow ... interesting thread. Thanks guys.

Do you think the reason they aren't giving full disclosure of the complications is that parents might change their mind and then they wouldn't get paid for the procedure? It seems they are leaving themselves wide open for litigation, but then if no one ever sues because they don't link it back to the circ ....

Yes.

It's just like babies who are injured or killed by vaccines. They lie about it and say it was this reason or that reason but definitely not what we did. Definitely not the procedure we pushed for because it pays us. Definitely not.

It's all about money.

I wasn't aware of the limitations being at the start of a dx. If it were the case, the lawyer would've told me. I hope. If its true then I'm screwed. ds#1 is 9 now. and the lawyer you mentioned is the one I spoke to. we're still in contact. sorry for not posting sooner.
