All better now I think...still coughing but happy and healthy

and I did some writing yesterday...

I did some editing and wrote two chapters...this will help me in further editing because I had some things in there I didn't like and this rewrote those things so that I like them..but now the book repeats in a few places so I'm goign to have to "kill some darlings" down the road but I like the new darlings a lot!

oh, boy...those darlings can be the death of a novel, no matter how wonderfully perfect they may be! I know what helps me is to find a way to discover the usefulness of killing them so you can enjoy making your novel more consistent and concise.

I murdered quite a few today...I'm actually quite ok with it...if something is particularly nice but doesn't fit I'm saving it to a "darlings" file.
