Anyone have a good knit winter hat for toddler pattern?

Thread Starter
I'm wanting to start knitting DD a hat for winter, preferably one with earflaps or something to keep her ears warm. I've sorted through the free patterns on ravelry, but haven't found quite what I'm looking for.

Anyone know of a pattern they really love?

I made the kids earflap hats using this pattern last year. Having the earflaps and band of the hat basically knit in a double layer made them stand up to the coldest weather. I plan on making two more this year as the babies have grown substantially!

My fav part of the pattern is that you can use any yarn, any gauge, you just type in your particular info and it adjusts for you!

and here are links to the two that I made so you can see how they came out.
