Cheese

So, I'm not a big cheese eater. Never liked the taste or the smell. The only cheese I can eat is Brie.
I made broccoli rice casserole and used cheddar/Swiss instead of the nasty cheez-whiz everyone wanted me to use. And it got me thinking....
If I want to make a grilled cheese for my 15 mos. old what cheese should I use? Or if I want to give him a cheese snack?

TIA!

Why would you feed your child cheese if you hate it?

Anyway why not mke your LO a grilled cheese with the brie! I usually use cheddar, because it's what we have most often in the house, though it melts oddly (gets oily). Fontina is good, too, because it's really melty.

I give the kids whatever we have. Generally that is mozarella, cheddar, gouda, feta, or colby. I don't give the kids grilled cheese, but they get cheese as a snack everyday.

Should I go for organic? Is foreign made cheese ok if it's not organic?

I LOVE cheddar cheese in a grilled cheese sandwich! It's my fave!

After that I'd like cojack ( blend of colby and Monterey Jack cheeses.)

Munster, Gouda, havarti, colby, cheddar, Monterey Jack, and string cheese are all cheeses I enjoy as snacks, so maybe your LO would like them, too.

I don't know. We aren't a completely organic family, so I choose local over organic. We live in an area with lots of cheese makers so that's what I buy.

I'll be interested in hearing what others have to say.

I'm new to cheese, I didn't eat it for years and years. I'm learning to like it though.
I like chedder as a snack but never melted (some people like it that way). its pretty much my eating cheese.

Oh wow, I love cheese!

We (me mostly, dh isn't as big of a cheese eater and the boys can't have it because of allergies) eat mostly cheddar or pepperjack. I use pepperjack alot to cook with.

Grilled cheese, I always use cheddar. For snacks, it's either cheddar or pepperjack. Colby is really good too.

I always buy Tillamook cheese. It tastes better and I feel that it's healthier than other brands. We do have a dairy that makes their own organic cheese here that's really really good, but it's also really really expensive.
