I think you may be on to something here. I am not a "Fan" and it's REALLY creeping me out that the pics of fans happen to always include friends of mine. Considering I don't have much more than 110 FB friends, it's very unnerving that the box shows my friends all the time out of 8,500+ fans of MDC.

I get notifications that my pop up blocker is blocking something too.

Me too. Is it possible that they can "read" your email address you have associated with mdc and then somehow sync that with facebook? It does seem strange...

That or our IP addresses. : They are definitely accessing something though.

I'd guess it's a facebook app of sorts that pulls up your friends in common - even if you aren't a 'fan' of mothering's facebook. Like, when I see the limited profile of a friend of a friend - they could have hundreds of friends but those that are mine pop up on the mutuals. I think, even if you are not logged into to facebook at the same time when you are on MDC, it reads it if you haven't cleared cookies?

Not really sure if any of that makes any sense - but the whole thing is odd. They should probably remove the Facebook thing, IMO

I've been getting Netflix today too! Very unusual, as I don't normally get any kind of pop-ups and it's only happening here on the discussion boards!
Agree with the facebook thing, not really liking having it on every page with my friends pics on it.

I'm running firefox with pop-up blocker. I haven't gotten a pop-up anywhere, ever, and I'm getting them here. Something is definitely wrong.
