Palm trial

What would you use for a palm trial? DS2 reacts to coconut but seems okay with dates... I'm considering palm oil, specifically and perhaps palm sugar. Trying to get rid of Crisco : and go more TF.
Palm oil is available at FMs in town and palm sugar at Safeway (don't get there as often bc it's across town).Opinions? Sugar or oil?
Also is palm sugar considered TF?

I would try the oil first. DS2 is very reactive to coconut milk and I think oil, but we use palm oil almost as 70% of our oil.
I haven't tried the palm sugar I guess because I never thought I needed to.
