This cracks me up. I just can't picture a newborn that big. Betcha he doesn't have wrinkly little legs, where the skin just hangs off, like chicken skin

Nope, not a whole lot of wrinkles, but he does have some neck rolls

His head was 14 3/4" and his chest was 15" in circumference at birth...to add to that he had one hand curled up under his chin (strange thing is my 9 lb dd did the same thing!). But his legs are actually skinny for how big he is and he has smaller feet than my daughter did.

Wow! I just can't imagine BIRTHING a baby that big...although one of my college friends who had the 10 lber said it's just really not that different. She's had three boys - 8lbs, 9lbs, and 10lbs and none had drugs (she's one who isn't sure she's in labor and shows up at the hospital complete)...she said they all sucked to push out, but were otherwise similar in pain.

Ezra's birth was actually easier for me than my 9 lb dd's. She was crowning and slipping back for a long time and came out with a really molded cone head (14 1/2" so not a whole lot different from Ezra's). At the end of the pushing stage with her I tried to go too fast and (maybe from that) ended up with two two-degree tears (one upper labial--ouch!). Ezra hopped in the birth canal and was out quickly--no molding of his head and only a little tearing!
Of course, I have nothing to compare too, having had two big babies, but I think once you're trying to pass something softball size or bigger through your vagina, it all hurts!
