zen cart help with photos

Anybody using zencart that can help me figure out how to put more than one photo up under a product? I've tried looking it up on their support site, but I don't understand their explanation and my web guy is out of the country and not particularly helpful.

Sigh. I don't miss Zen Cart. It's been two weeks, our new cart's not perfect either but I really don't miss Zen.

Anyway...as far as I know you can't do more than one photo. We used the software for almost a year and I never saw a place to do it.

there was an add-on that let you add product views. It's called Zen Lightbox http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?ma...roducts_id=273 There are a few similar ones that have some other features.

I use the lightbox linked above, with image handler for zen. If you want to go low-tech, you can just paste some html for an image in the product description

You can upload more than one, it's in how you name them.

photoname.jpg is the one that will show up first. To add an additional one, just name it with the format photoname_2.jpg and upload it in the Products Image spot.

Thanks Ladies. I'm about to try Red Sonja's idea first (sounds like that's what they were explaining in the tute, but I didn't understand. Your one sentence explanation made more sense!

Umm, ok Red Sonja, I tried it and couldn't get it to work. Sigh. I did this: Renamed the photos I wanted to item, item_2, item_3...went to the product description, uploaded "item" in the product image. hit preview, then update. Went back and did the same process with 2 & 3. To the question "overwrite existing image on server?" I tried clicking both yes & no, but didn't seem to get it to work either way. What am I missing?

Later (after bedtime for the boys!) I'll have to try again.

I haven't tried the add-on yet.
