I just found out (prematurely...shh, don't tell) that one of my baby shower gifts is going to be an economy prefold package (36 regular 4x6x4 prefolds and 4 medium white BSWW), 6 small Blue Penguin wrap 'n snaps, and a dozen gender-neutral medium Fuzzi Bunz.

This sets up the distinct possibility of never having to buy diapers again, at least not until the baby grows into large toddler sizes.
I am so shocked--at the generosity, because even if I didn't love cloth for health and environmental and aesthetic reasons, two years' worth of disposables would cost a mind-blowing amount of money--and at the thoughtfulness, because most non-cloth-diaper-ers will not buy cloth diapers as baby gifts. Maybe it helps that I never used disposables on my first child, so I've demonstrated my level of seriousness.
If I never have to buy diapers again--then what am I going to do with my time?

But, I have built my stash up to the point where if I don't neeeeed to buy more, but I know I will! Just because I like to try new things, and they're just so darn cute!! Congrats on the new addition!

I have all of DS's old diapers but there's something special about brand new diapers.
