I have a tendency towards migraines. I will get them after a gluten exposure (I also have Celiac Disease) and they can sometimes take around 24 hours to resolve fully.
Normally I would just pop an Imitrex at the onset and go about my day. That has proven to be the only thing that has worked for me.
Being pregnant though, that is absolutely NOT an option. Especially not being newly pregnant as I am.
So what options do I have? The pain is pretty ferocious and I have a very high pain threshold anyway. I've tried Tylenol but I might as well have been eating Skittles for all the good it did me.

I have chronic daily migraines, so I can sympathize with you. Normally they're controlled fairly well with meds (down to 1-2 a week) but I have to go off most of my meds during pregnancy. So I'm just taking it a day at a time, and if I have a really bad breakthrough I'll try cayenne and then heat up my rice sock and put it on the affected side. That sometimes help me relax enough to sleep it off (if I can make it until the kids go to bed).
