Help! What could this be?

I've always had a strong let down, but all of a sudden it causes sharp radiating pain in both of my breasts. One of them is also incredibly sore when not nursing. It feels something like a bruise. What could this be? I've been feeling this for three days and its killing me.... Help!

How long have you been breastfeeding? Hormonal changes can trigger such things, pain is sometimes caused by the formation of small benign cysts within the breasts.

Only three months. Things have been going really well up until now too. I called the LC at our hospital but she hasn't called back yet. I also noticed I'm not leaking nearly as much as I have been, especially from the sore breast. I tried looking this up in a breastfeeding book but I can't seem to figure out what this is.

Any ideas? I took a pregnancy test thinking maybe this was because I'm pregnant, came out negative. My daughter has been very fussy so I'm worried whatever this is could be affecting my supply. Any ideas?

Sounds like plugged ducts. Do you have any hard lumps in your breasts?
