Whip It

I went to see this tonight and it was really excellent. Ellen Page did a great job, and it was so nice to see a movie with a strong, take-no-crap girl as the lead. I thought the directing by Drew Barrymore was well done, too. Highly recommended.

I enjoyed this movie IMMENSELY! What a wonderful role model Bliss's character is. The part with her friend in the bathroom at the party almost made me die laughing!

My daughter and I saw this Sunday and loved it! I'm sad though, because we were the only people in the theater. I plan to keep spreading the word, because this movie deserves to be seen!

yeah, it's too bad it didn't get more attention at the box office because it's REALLY good. I totally loved the girl power thing and Ellen Page rocks!

Alice in Wonderland!

The movie doesn't come out til March of next year, but I am ALREADY so excited to see it! I've seen the trailer so many times and I can't get enough of Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter and the whole trippy Tim Burton look. Anyone else excited??

I wish I had movies like this come out when I was in the "coming of age" period in my life. So glad this was a story that didn't focus on school, the prom, a boy etc which are the usual stereotypes it seems.

I actually went and saw this again today. I needed to get out. If it's still going to be here next week, I'm thinking of doing a mother-daughter movie night with some people from church.
