Help me remember what I'll need

I nursed with dd for almost 3 years. I am planning to bf exlusively with this baby too but I am having a hard time remembering what supplies or things that might useful in those first few weeks.

I don't plan to pump and I'm not a big "prop" person so I don't think I'll need a boppy or anything. I just can't remember what was helpful in the way of comfort pads, creams, etc.

Any advcie?

i was happy i had some breast pads (for the early days leakage until we got a rhythm established)
and lansinoh.

that's all i wanted for the second babe! (and interesting people and games for the big one so i could be with the babe)

Check out your old nursing bras for fit, and see if they are still in good condition. I've found that it's good to have at least three on hand.

Definitely nursing pads, and a good supply of burp cloths handy. Bottled water is extremely convenient to put next to the rocker for that unbelievable thirst that can come during those early days. I also like to make ahead a few batches of Housepoet's lactation cookies (they freeze beautifully).

Other than that, just mama and baby!

breast pads, some lanolin for the early days, and some new nursing bras/tanks

I never needed any kind of creams. I always used breast shells to help with engorgement.

Thanks for the replies. Very helpful and brought back my memory a little. I was digging through a box and found my cashemere breast pads so I am very excited about that. I'll have to buy new bras I onle had 3 bras for almost3 years of nursing they were to gross to hold on too when it was all said and done. I'm thinking of getting a nursing tank and a bravado sports bar style for the first few days when we're not going anywhere but you need some kind of support and then I'll go from there. Thanks again.
