When we did the organic acid urine test, DS was high in oxalates. So does that mean that maybe he isn't that zinc deficient if the oxalates preserve the color?

So how do you know if you have low gastrin? I'm curious because because my baby, whom I have another thread about, is really suffering from reflux.

I don't know how to interpret an OAT urine test, but I'm curious to get one on me/dd. Basically, there are several places that the color *should* be destroyed, and stomach acid is the first in line.

hmm... actually, I'm in the middle of doing organic chemistry homework, and it talks about acetyl CoA being what comes in and converts oxaloacetate to citrate. I think I've been having acetyl CoA issues, as evidenced by low cholesterol, adrenal symptoms, etc. Biotin is involved in moving CoA into the mitochondria - have you tried biotin supplementation? (This is all a total guess on my part)

I haven't looked into reflux in an infant - it seems like a completely different issue for some reason. Dd didn't have it, so my attention went elsewhere Sorry!
