Sucking on ring sling - what material to use?

I don't know where to put this - babywearing? Health?

I made a ring sling for myself using the pattern on the Maya Wrap website. My now 4mo sucks and chews on the material when he's in it. But, I noticed lately that his shirts are smudged with green (the color of the sling). So, the dye is coming out and I have to assume that he's eating some of it, right? This can't be good for him. So, I want to make a new one. But here's my question: how do I pick a material that won't bleed? I want a dark color since this is my 3rd boy - nothing I have stays clean for long. I really don't want to use anything with a "wrong" side so it can be a single layer. So, what do you think?

And, should I be worried about the dye he's ingested so far?

Don't worry about what he may have ingested. Soak the sling in color remover. I believe RIT has one. This should get out any dye that will come out.

Thanks! I'll have to try that. Will it change the color much?
