I always start these threads. But I need to be inspired. I have the urge to knit again (after a whole year almost!!) but am having trouble because I'm not into any of the patterns I could be knitting. So, what are you making? Or what are you looking forward to working on? Inspire me please!!

I'm in the middle of hardcore holiday knitting!

I jsut finished a pair of socks, have a single sock done for my Grandma, am knitting a sock for my F-I-L. Knitting organic cotton soft balls for ds and dd's stockings. And a hat for my best friend's dog...yup a hat for her dog

I have Yshbel on the needles and getting very close to mildewing, a pair of knucks for my eldest, the sachiko baby kimono for the baby in my belly and a hexagonal baby blanket for the one in my belly. So not much, really...

I've got a sweater on the go for ds (my first sweater!).

First I need to finish DD2's longies (testing our colorfastness on some yarn I dyed.) I also have a hoodie on the needles that I've been ignoring for too long now. : Before I get back to that I want to do a chevron scarf for my mom, some fingerless mitts and a hat for me.

I'm working on a knitted version of this masa bag. I'm thinking it'll need to be felted to keep it's shape. Or maybe I'll have to line it.

Right now I am woking a a pair of fingerless gloves and a hat to match. Hoping to get my circs soon to start on some longies.

Trying to whip out a quick Swing Thing for dd - she picked out the Rose Heather Wool-ease for it and I think she will look beautiful in it. She would never wear the smaller size one I made for her in Peace Fleece - too scratchy! Then I need to make a kitty hat for her - she wants to be a black cat for Halloween and she also outgrew the kitty hat I knit her for her second Halloween. Then I need to find yarn for an afghan for MIL for Christmas but I'm crocheting that - and then get on all the Christmas knitting. I am doing some dishclothes, hat and mittens for dd, hats for niece and nephews, and socks for dh.

i am working on a pair of wool socks for dh and a pair of fingerless gloves for me. both are free patterns i found on ravelry. "hunter's socks" and "swirling gauntlets" in case you are curious.

Just finished, and quickly frogged, a Lady's February Sweater with Noro...decided to make some Noro striped scarves cause they're just soooo cool looking.

Also making a scarf using the same lacey pattern from the Feb sweater in some wool that was swapped to me last year.

Just finished a felted baby bag out of Peace Fleece with some random striping. Came out very big and I think it will be lined in some hemp or recycled cotton...

May start making some slippers (maybe Tracey Ulman's House slippers) for the family next. I pretty much knit non-stop these days.

I think I put these in the last list- so I should really just get them finished up. I am knitting a hemlock ring for my mom for Christmas- I have it over half knit- but now it is boring. I have one thrummed mitten almost done- I need to get that finished and start the second. I have an awesome pair of socks for DH on the needles- but I almost think I should frog them for a smaller size (scaled up w/out a swatch). I have cathedral socks for me going and a really ancient pair of socks hibernating somewhere that I would have to really struggle with to figure out what on earth I was doing.

But what am I really working on? Slippers for felting.

What sweater are you knitting for your son? I'm looking for really boyish sweaters and hat patterns right now. Ds got made fun of at school the other day for wearing a white cabled sweater , so now he's pretty picky about what he's wearing these days.

Ooh, like the gauntlets! Thanks for sharing that - I like a lot of her patterns, and just added a few to my library.

Right now I am working on a "Hug Me" Shrug (free rav pattern) for each of my youngest girls, just cast on for a Perth wrap for my in-the-car project (you know, waiting at soccer practice, outside the school, etc) and I need to wind a skein for "El Hatto Negro" for my DH.

I finished a poncho for my younger dd a couple days ago, with a bunch of PF partial balls. I knit it in the round with raglan increases and a picot bind-off. I love how it turned out! Now I'm knitting one for my older dd, with more Peace Fleece scraps.

I'd love to see this, if you can manage a pic. I am drowning in PF and would love doing a project like this!

I'm knitting what will probably be DD's last pair of longies (she's potty training) and a sweater for my Grandma. After that its time for Christmas knitting: socks for DS#1 and DD, a kitchen set (dish clothes, towels) for a gift exchange and I'll pick up some more as we get closer to December.

I've started my HH knitting. But um... I've sort of been online gaming lately...
