Allergy Free Vitamin?

Which allergy free vitamins do you use? I think we really need to get DS started on something due to the dietary restrictions and I can't find one that looks safe.

I have some Hero Yummi Bears (which don't look so Yummi) and carlson for kids chewable calcium (which is for 4+ though I don't see why AND it contains sorbitol and some other junk.)

Not sure I'm a big fan of Mercola's product pushing but these actually look like they might work:

ETA: Well, they might have... if they weren't formulated for an older child. I wonder if taking just one tablet would be okay for a 2.5 yo?

What are your food restrictions? I've written to multiple vitamin companies lately and would be happy to share the info...

Right now we're still avoiding everything - gluten, dairy, eggs, corn, soy, potatoes, nightshades.

I believe brainchild's and kirkmans might fit your restrictions--although ds HATED kirkmans and wouldn't take it (very strong flavored powder you mix w/ drinks). I don't have experience w/ brainchild though either...

I'm still on the search for a corn free (food based preferred) multi...You can usually write directly to the companies though--maybe that would help?

Also I spoke w/ Hero Nutritionals a/b Yummi Bear organics:

Quote:
The process for all Yummi Bear products is the same. The bears are first "dipped " into a corn starch mold and the gummies process begins from there, in the end there is only a trace, if any corn starch left on the product.
So there are trace amounts of corn in the Yummi Bear Organics multi...(Their regular products are made w/ glucose syrup, which she said was derived from corn, just fyi...)

Not sure this helps at all! I hope you find something that works for you!

ETA: This was recommended to me in another thread--I believe it was free of our allergens (gluten/dairy/soy/corn), but was a non-chewable--needs to be swallowed vit...HTH!
