Ok so does the sex+ orgasm thing really work to bring on labor? I know I still have 2 weeks til my due date but this constant cramping/backache and BH contractions for 2 days now is about to drive me nuts! Seriously I am so exhausted by them! My midwife says baby is ready, I could go anytime now! So, now Im set on everything to help bring baby on! Lol. I got my cup of RRL tea this morning and hopefully I can get DH to go walking with me this evening.

Good morning ladies! I feel really good this morning. I was wanting to go for a walk, but my 3 yr old is throwing a fit so now we're not going anywhere. We'll try again later. I'm off to open all my curtains now and let the sun in this morning. I like to get my quiet time in on the computer while my youngest one is still sleeping, but she's up now so it's time to get them their drinks and start breakfast.
Still no more contractions here. I guess now that the full moon is waning that my body can rest now. Lol.

WOWwie did the baby drop overnight! I can't believe the crazy amounts of pressure in my BUTT! And my cervix, too. And none of this was there yesterday. It's a really uncomfortable feeling. I very nearly feel like I need to push, like the same sensations I feel during transition. There's totally a baby in my butt!! I guess all those major contractions that were keeping me awake last night were actually doing something! yahoo!
Where's the Baby In My Butt smiley when you need it??!

I forgot until today that this was a weekly thread, and was wondering why it was so quiet on here.
I'm one day overdue today. Both DD's due date and this baby's due date were based on ovulation. DD was 4 days early. I really did not think I would still be pregnant, especially after the full moon and after all the stormy weather we've had lately. As each day passes, I'm getting more and more frustrated. I'm going to be pregnant forever.
MIL is here already. She decided to go ahead and come down since she can't drive at night, but she has to leave on the 18th. I was hoping to have her here for postpartum help, but first of all I need to GET to postpartum.
I'm so bummed out to still be pregnant.
My last prenatal appointment was yesterday, and everything is still fine. I gained a total of 40 lbs w/ this baby, same as w/ DD, but my MW thinks this baby will be a good deal bigger than DD was (DD was 7 lbs 3 oz). She also said that I am waddling more, lol. BP was 120/84, the highest it's been so far. Swelling is mild and normal.
I want my baby.
It's never going to get here.

Just found out my cousin that was supposed to be hanging here to watch the kids when I go into labor, isn't going to be available until the last week in October. So if I don't go into labor on my own, that will work out. I'll be induced on the 27th and he can watch my other kids.
But if I go before then, I'm out of luck. My labors are so quick.
There just aren't that many options. This sucks.

Okay. I HAD to go in to l&d to get something strong to help with this side pain. I thought it might have been gas, but it wasn't going away or getting better. It was getting worse. I couldn't move. So they gave me some Vicadin. I really hope it helps the pain go away. They think its my muscle pulling.

Question: How do you know when you mind has decided it is done with being pregnant?
Answer: You have a dream in the middle of the night about losing your mucous plug and then wake up in the morning and can't quite remember if it was a dream or not???
I think my body is also getting ready to be done because I have been having a ton of BH and then at night I have been having a lot of menstrual type cramps. Tomorow is my 37 week checkup.......hopefully this one goes better than last week's and they actually end up checking me.

You know, somehow these things have a way of just working out. Maybe not in the ideal way, but they do. I figured that out when ds was born. Even though we were three states from home and had not a stitch of baby stuff with us for an unexpected birth, it worked out. I really think it will work out for you too.Quote:

I'm right there with you guys with all the cramps & multitude of contractions. It's only been since yesterday morning that all this kicked into existence. These BH hurt, my crotch feels totally broken, walking is painful, I have sooo many cramps & pressure.... man, barely 2 days of this & it's already made me grumpy. It's so hard to sit on the edge of labor for days and/or weeks.
grump grump grump. I'm only 38w2d too. arg.

I don't know yet if it works. I had to wait until my 2 littlest ones were asleep. The youngest is finally asleep so now I can take it. Thing is, its suppose to make me sleepy too. So I can't take it tomorrow during the morning when its the worse and I'm crying and can't walk, because of the two little ones. Hubby doesn't get home until midnight tomorrow night so he won't be of help until after then. So one more day I have to endure it, basically.

Well I was going to try dtd with DH last night but the stinker fell asleep before I got to bed.
Sigh. . Darn my luck.
Still feeling the BH pretty regularly. Last night in bed I kept feeling these weird twinges in my cervix? Like way low almost like someone was kicking me in the vag? And the baby kept like doing complete body shifts. I havent felt that much movement from the baby in weeks! But itwas like I felt her whole body shift from side to side. Maybe baby is getting into position?

Sorry DH fell asleep! That isn't any help! Hopefully tonight will be more successful. Make sure that you have fun too so that your body releases oxytocin!
My baby is doing that shifty thing as well and I think it is more of a hinderance than a help! I wish she would just find a good position and start pressing her little head on my cervix! I know my pelvis and ligaments are nice and balanced and open because I see my chiro twice a week. I'm wondering if she is having a difficult time finding just the right spot because of my anterior placenta. Walking is what seems to get my contractions going, but I can't just constantly walk around and exhaust myself. I'm going to try and get two good walks in everyday to help her line up. We'll see how it works.
I saw the midwife yesterday and she said I could start taking two different homeopathics called Cimicifuga and Cauliphylum to get my hormones leveled out. Anyone ever tried these two before with any luck? I'm fine being pregnant right now but getting 10 days beyond my due date things get more complicated and I'd like to avoid that if at all possible. That gives me 5 days.

That's great! I guess if it's been this long, you can do one more day, right?
