Qur'an reading & reflection

as I continue my Qur'an study, I was thinking that many mamas have just finished reading/listening to the whole Qur'an during Ramadan. I wondered if anyone would want to share favorite parts, surahs that have provoked fruitful reflection, anything else related to recent Qur'an study that might help the rest of us.

as for me, I have just finished my first complete reading and am coming through a second time, hoping to take my reading deeper. (there was a "reading the Qur'an in one year" thread, but once we fell off a reading schedule it has been hard to get a group back together. so, thought I would try this approach.)

This is a short youtube video of a quran recitation that I have been enjoying listening to lately. They have english translation at the bottom of the screen so I find it to be really touching. It is only a few verses but I find myself crying while listening to this. I don't know if that is what you are looking for, but I wanted to share this with some one. Another really touching surah I keep listening to over and over in the last few days is surah ar-rahman. the second link has a very touching recitation of that along with the translation (if you can read the blurry writting) and a little video.

The 107th chapter was, aside from al-Fatihah, the first I ever learned by heart, and I've always particularly liked it. The 81st chapter was another I specifically selected out for early memorization just for being drawn to it ... it's a favorite of mine for reciting in prayers, as it, for me at least, so succinctly and poetically sums up what faith in Islam is a faith in.
