Halloween Help: Teenage Ninja turtles

I was wondering if anyone knows of a pattern for the shell or could give some easy cheap ways to make one

The shell can be made from felt. It can be simply shaped with a few darts.

Cut a large oval, slightly larger and rounder that you want the finished size to be, then add 4 darts at around 1:30, 4:30, 7:30 and 10:30. Adding a brim around the out side would help. (I wish there was a way to draw this online.)
